Roland is saying "XMLA does ABC".
Andy is saying "Analyzer does XYZ".
Since Analyzer doesn't currently speak XMLA, they are talking about apples and oranges. The statements are not contradictory. As it happens they are both correct.
At some point we will get Analyzer to work on the olap4j XMLA driver. One of the tasks to achieve this will be stop Analyzer relying upon magic and generate explicit CELL PROPERTIES and DIMENSION PROPERTIES clauses for the properties it needs.
