[Mondrian] Fwd: commons-dbcp version in mondrian

The manifest does not state the version, but ivy.xml is asking for version
1.2. The jar file is identical to commons-dbcp-1.2.jar found at
<http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven/commons-dbcp/jars/>
http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven/commons-dbcp/jars/.

No objections in principle to upgrading commons-dbcp, but I would like to be
consistent with other Pentaho projects, e.g. kettle.

Will, what version of dbcp are other projects using?

Julian

Subject: commons-dbcp version in mondrian

hi Julian,
can we refresh the commons-dbcp jars used by Mondrian?

I've opened the manifest of the commons-dbcp and found that

Manifest-Version: 1.0
Created-By: Apache Ant 1.5
Built-By: dirkv
Package: org.apache.commons.dbcp.*
Extension-Name: commons-dbcp
Specification-Vendor: Apache Software Foundation
Specification-Title: Jakarta Commons Database Pooling Package
Implementation-Version: Nightly-200403032006
Implementation-Vendor: Apache Software Foundation

So it looks like we're not using an official build but a night build.
I wanted to find the source to be sure of how to use it but I couldn't find
them for the version we have.

Since we're at it we could think about upgrading the other related commons
library such as commons-lang and commons-pool.

What do you think?

thanks,
Michele
