I'm trying to make a Mondrian connection using the API. We downloaded Mondrian and successfully ran and modified the "Foodmart" demo. The following worked ...

<jp:mondrianQuery id="query01" jdbcDriver="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver" jdbcUrl="jdbc:mysql://localhost/flumart?user=foodmart&password=xyz" catalogUri="/WEB-INF/queries2/FluMart.xml">

This code does not work ...

    public void doit() {
        Connection connection = DriverManager.getConnection(
                    "Provider=mondrian;" +
                    "Jdbc=jdbc:mysql://localhost/flumart;" +
                    "JdbcUser=foodmart;" +
                    "JdbcPassword=xyz;" +
                    "Catalog=/WEB-INF/FluMart.xml;",
                    null);

Tomcat returns a server error with the following message ...

mondrian.olap.MondrianException: Mondrian Error:Internal error: Error while creating SQL connection: Jdbc=jdbc:mysql://localhost/flumart; JdbcUser=foodmart; JdbcPassword=xyz
                mondrian.resource.MondrianResource$_Def0.ex(MondrianResource.java:811)
                mondrian.olap.Util.newInternal(Util.java:1472)
                mondrian.olap.Util.newError(Util.java:1488)
                mondrian.rolap.RolapConnection.<init>(RolapConnection.java:241)
                mondrian.rolap.RolapSchema.<init>(RolapSchema.java:189)
