Yes, please go ahead. Two change lists sounds like a good idea.
Are there dependencies on newer parts of the JDK we need to be wary of (e.g.
things that have been introduced in JDK 1.5 or later?).
What system do you use for thread-pooling? That should be consistent with
other parts of mondrian that spawn threads.

I can check-in my implementation of TopCount and BottomCount using a
partial quickort algorith..
The changes are in 2 parts -- a refactoring of the part of FunUtil that
handles sorting; and the new implemenation; so I intended to submit 2
changelists. Should I go ahead?

I know Eric just checked in an upgrade to retroweaver 2, then backed it out.
