[Mondrian] mondrian-3.5.0 is the last version with a .war file?

Hello Menashe,
You are right about the WAR distribution. We do not bundle the JPivot
sample application with Mondrian anymore. At Pentaho we have decided to
stop supporting JPivot a few years ago. Since release 3.6+, we have also
decided to stop shipping JPivot with the mondrian code. Note that we do
still ship JPivot, but as a Pentaho BA platform's plugin. (
https://github.com/pentaho/pentaho-platform-plugin-jpivot )
There are a few reasons for this move. JPivot was bundled with Mondrian in
the past in part because of limited choices for GUIs working on top of
Mondrian. We felt like adding JPivot to the distro made it easier for
people to kick the tires of Mondrian and get an idea of what Mondrian is.
This situation has since changed and the community has developed many
projects that can serve as a UI for Mondrian and other OLAP servers. (
Saiku, Pivot4J & others)
We on the mondrian team prefer to focus on the core engine functionality
and features, while we help the community build the tools that evolve
around it. This is much saner for us to manage.
