you have worked already with SimbaO2X ?
I download Simba02X but I read:

Excel speaks OLAP (ODBO).
Mondrian can speak XMLA.
Simba (http://www.simba.com/) has a MS tool called
Simba02X which can serve as a bridge. It used to
be free (I think) but now appears to be a product.
